This week we launched our brand new Life Teams! If you are going over this RAP Sheet for the first time in your new team, give yourself a hand!!

On Sunday we learned about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These 3 friends stood toe to toe with the King and refused to bow to his idol. They knew that the true God had clearly commanded to worship NO other gods and they were willing to risk their lives to obey.

Can you remember a time in your life where you faced a moral dilemma between what was convenient and what was right?

Chances are you were not facing death by blazing furnace, but these moments are scary nonetheless!

Name a time you were successful in choosing what was right.

Now, (time for some vulnerability), name a time when you went against what you knew to be right.

How did the people you had surrounded yourself with at these points in your life influence which direction you chose to go in?

Having a team of people around you is crucial to fortifying your walk with Jesus!

APPLY:

Choosing to follow and obey Jesus in the face of severe opposition is one of the most powerful displays of our faith. If we simply get together and talk a big game about our faith, but fail to apply it into the hard moments of our life, we will struggle to make an impact during our time on earth.

What is one area of your life where you consistently struggle to apply the truths of Jesus?

Relationships, gossip, spending, addiction, physical health, etc.

What is one specific way you can lean on your Life Team this week to help you begin to face down the "furnaces" of this world and start choosing Jesus when it is hard?

PRAY:

Spend some time praying that your team will be the encouragement and strength that each of you need to start Moving powerfully in your world. Ask God to bless your community with each other and to show you ways to serve each other. Pray that we would not be tempted by the idols of this world and would save our time, energy, and attention for the one true God!
