REVIEW:

This week we set our sights on Baptism coming up October 27th.

We asked the questions, "Why do we need to be saved?" and, "How are we saved?"

In Romans 5, Paul compares and contrasts Adam and Jesus.

In Adam we see WHY we need to be saved. We are fallen, broken, and sinful. Our sin separates us from God and our only hope is to be Saved from our sin!

With Jesus, we see HOW we are saved. He took all of our sins upon himself, and nailed them forever to a cross. Because of His sacrifice we can simply believe in Jesus and be made right with God.

We learned that Salvation is a gift. We can not earn it and we get it for absolutely free!

Have you ever thought of salvation as a gift?

Growing up, what did you think it meant to be saved?

Is it ever hard to truly believe that going to heaven requires NO works?

APPLY:

If you have never received the free gift of salvation, spend some time this week considering what that would mean for your life.

If you are already Saved, pray that God would show you someone to share the good news of grace with.

If you have been saved, but never baptized, consider signing up to be baptized on October 27th!

PRAY:

Spend time praying together that people who have not put their Faith in Jesus would take that step to Follow Him. Pray over our baptisms, that many people would get to publicly display their faith. Pray for each other, that you would be able to live in light of what Jesus has done for you.
