Genesis 30: Rachel’s Plight

Sarah, Rebekah, and Rachel all felt the pain of being unable to have children for a lengthy period of time. For them, barrenness became a stigma, a burden, and a plight. “Then God remembered Rachel’s plight and answered her prayers by enabling her to have children” (v. 22). Lord, for all of the women who read this devotional thought and are unable to have children, please remember their plight, too. Oh God of Sarah, Rebekah, and Rachel, hear the prayers of women who want to become mothers. Stretch out your hand and enable them to conceive. Bless these women. And bless the children they bring into this world.
