The Lord appeared to Isaac twice, confirming his original promise to Abraham. Now the promise passed on to Isaac and his descendants. God promised to bless Isaac and to make his descendants more numerous than the stars in the sky. And it didn’t matter where Isaac went. When God told him to settle in the land of the Philistines, Isaac experienced a harvest where he received 100 times more grain than he had planted. Isaac became so prosperous and acquired so many cattle, the Philistine king felt compelled to ask Isaac to leave the area because Isaac had become “too powerful for us”. Isaac moved when God directed him to move. Isaac stayed when God directed him to stay. And God blessed him abundantly wherever he was. Go where God wants you to go. Stay where God wants you to stay. And God will bless you there.
