When Abraham moved his family south among unknown people, his fears surfaced again. He told people Sarah was his sister for fear the men in that area would kill him and take Sarah because of her beauty. So the King of Gerar brought Sarah to his palace as a part of his haram. But before they slept together, God appeared to the King in a dream and warned him that Sarah was already married. When the King declared his innocence, the Lord replied, “Yes I know you are innocent, that’s why I have kept you from sinning against me” (v. 6). The Lord miraculously appeared to an innocent person to protect him from sinning. Thank you, Lord, for protecting innocent people.
