Genesis 13 Altar

When Abram returned from Egypt to Canaan, he went to the same place where he had built an altar to the Lord and he worshiped the Lord there (v. 4). Then when Abram moved to the town of Hebron, he built another altar to the Lord (v. 18). Abram used altars to offer sacrifices to cover his sins and to worship the Lord. This part of Abram’s story shows us that we can worship the Lord wherever we go. It also reminds us that sacrificial offerings are a central part of worship.
